Change Leadership Coaching

Change Leadership Coaching

The transformation is changing your organisation. What is it asking of you as a leader?

You may be accountable for a major transformation, but the hardest leadership challenges rarely appear on a project dashboard.

Competing priorities. Stakeholders who disagree. Managers who hesitate to take ownership. Decisions you cannot easily discuss with your team.

And sometimes, the leadership habits that made you successful are no longer helping you lead effectively.

Change Leadership Coaching provides a confidential space to examine these challenges, strengthen your judgement and develop more effective ways of leading.

Who is this for?

This service is designed for:

  • Executive sponsors accountable for transformation outcomes
  • CIOs, COOs and senior executives leading organisational change
  • Transformation and programme directors
  • Senior leaders navigating restructuring, integration or operating-model change
  • Executives whose leadership responsibilities are changing as their organisations transform

Coaching for individual leaders and organisations

For individual leaders

You can commission coaching yourself to explore the leadership challenges you are facing, or take part in coaching sponsored by your organisation.

For organisations

I also work with organisations commissioning Change Leadership Coaching for their executives, sponsors and transformation leaders. Coaching supports leaders in examining the decisions, assumptions, behaviours and relationships that shape how they lead change.

At the outset, the leader, organisational sponsor and I agree the objectives, responsibilities and scope of any progress reporting. The content of coaching conversations remains confidential, subject to the agreed contract, professional standards and legal obligations.

Organisational sponsorship does not turn coaching into an assessment or advisory assignment. Where diagnosis and recommendations are needed, Strategic Change Advisory is scoped separately.

What we work on

Every coaching engagement is tailored to the leader's context and objectives.

Common themes include:

Leadership judgement

Making difficult decisions, examining assumptions and navigating competing priorities.

Influence and stakeholder relationships

Building influence, handling organisational politics and navigating relationships where interests differ.

Difficult conversations

Addressing conflict, challenging expectations and discussing issues that others may prefer to avoid.

Delegation and accountability

Recognising when taking control is helpful and when it prevents others from developing ownership.

Leading through uncertainty

Maintaining credibility and effectiveness when information is incomplete and outcomes remain uncertain.

Leadership patterns

Exploring behaviours that have supported previous success but may now limit effectiveness.

When the challenge becomes personal

These illustrative situations show the kinds of questions we can explore. They are not client case studies or promises of a particular result.

The sponsor facing incompatible priorities

You have committed to a transformation deadline while your peers protect competing operational targets. You keep reassuring the programme, but the trade-off remains unresolved. Coaching creates space to examine what you are avoiding, how you use your authority and the conversation you need to initiate.

The transformation director carrying every decision

Your dashboard is green, yet difficult decisions repeatedly return to you. Taking control keeps delivery moving in the short term while making others more dependent on you. We can explore your assumptions about accountability, the boundaries you set and how you build ownership without withdrawing support.

The executive asking managers to do more with the same capacity

You believe in the change, but managers describe demands they cannot reconcile. Coaching helps you examine how you respond to challenge, what you treat as resistance and whether your own expectations need to change before you ask others to act differently.

For organisational diagnosis or recommendations on governance and readiness, Strategic Change Advisory is a separate engagement with explicitly agreed boundaries.

How coaching works

Coaching is a confidential, collaborative process.

We establish your objectives, explore the challenges you are facing and examine the assumptions, decisions and behaviours that influence your leadership.

I bring questions, perspective and constructive challenge.

I do not make decisions for you or substitute my judgement for yours.

The purpose is to strengthen your awareness, choices and capacity to lead effectively.

Engagement structure, duration and optional assessments are agreed according to your needs.

Why work with me?

I combine accredited executive coaching with more than 20 years of experience in international enterprise transformation.

I understand the organisational realities behind leadership challenges, including executive sponsorship, business readiness, stakeholder relationships and competing operational priorities.

That experience informs my understanding of your context without turning coaching into consulting.

A confidential conversation is a useful place to start.

Whether you are seeking coaching for yourself or commissioning it for leaders in your organisation, let’s explore the context and objectives.
